photOntology

The word "photograph" was coined in 1839 by Sir John Herschel and is based on the Greek (phos), meaning "light", and (graphê), meaning "drawing, writing", together meaning "drawing with light". Ontology (from the Greek,"of that which is", and -logia: science, study, theory) is the philosophical study of the nature of being, existence or reality as such, as well as the basic categories of being and their relations. This blog is a means of celebrating "the nature of being" through photography.
